I've used songs and other things from the dole website. ( Fruits and Veggies)

These are some things I've done in the past:
Create healthy cookbooks-have children dictate how to prepare healthy meals. Children illustrate, copy and give to families.
Make individual pizzas using whole-wheat English muffins. All the food groups can be incorporated into this snack if you add pineapple, ham, and mushrooms!
Good books-The Berenstain Bears and Too Much Junk Food
Gregory the Terrible Eater and Good Enough to Eat.

When we do our nutrition unit we post a list of healthy foods and ask each child to bring in a one to share with the class. This might be a banana, some grapes, carrots sticks, etc. Then we each taste a bite of every food and see how we like it. The children have a sheet with pictures of the foods on it (we used clip art) and they circle the foods they like and put an X on the ones that they dislike. Then as a class we make a graph and see what food is the favorite and which one is least liked. Many of the children are surprised that they like something they didn't think they did. I would just be aware of any food allergies, of course, before doing this.
