So DH and I are getting one for our inlaws and there are lots of choices. Neither one of us are coffee drinkers. What are the differences besides prices? Thanks.

The more expensive ones have a bigger water chamber so you fill it less frequently. Also there is three cups sizes on the one that I have along with a hotness setting for the water. I also have a timer that will heat the water so I just have to press the brew button when I get up. Mine is the Elite but my mom managed to wrangle it from someone who wasn't using it for $20 .

Coffee tastes the same in each one so it's just a matter of convenience. It's nice to have the different cup sizes. If you can get one with more options on sale, I'd say go for it. Having written all this, the bells and whistles are nice but as a gift, I'd be happy with any one!

The higher end ones heat up faster, too. Not a major factor, but convenient in the morning! I love my keurig.

I have two---a mini (hidden in a cupboard at school because we aren't suppose to have any plug in appliances) and a Platinum at home. The Platinum has a water reservoir with a filter, makes different sized cups, adjustable brew temps., and a timer so I don't have to have it running at night when I don't use it. Both make great coffee, but I do like all the bells and whistles of the Platinum.
