I have a quick question for those of you who have chrome books for your students. What grade do you teach and do your students each have their own email account? Thanks!

Students in grades 1 to 8 have CB. All students have a username that looks like email to log in, but email privileges have been turned off.
7th and 8th graders have access to email from teachers only.

5th grade.

Yes they have limited email. They can send/receive emails from within the district, but that's it.

I teach 5th and each student has their own email issued by the district. In fact, all students k-12 have district issued emails.

5th, K-8 have gmail education accounts but no email access until 6th grade, and then only access to email to/from our school.

When I was teaching in a K-6 school, the classes that had these computers did have email addresses to use for login but their ability to actually use their addresses for emailing was blocked.

the kids have an email account that only allows them access to their GAFE account (google apps for education). No real email, we use individual google docs, slides and sheets; along with google classroom.

Each student from K-12 (450,000 kids) has an email account. They can email within the school system only. An outside emailer gets automatically blocked when they try to email a student.
