TPT question

When you buy something that has 150 pages, how do you use it? Do you print it all and put it in binder or do you print as needed? I prefer to print it all, but so many pages is making me not want to purchase it cause it must be a fortune to print all those pages. What do you do?

If you are allowed to print at school you could download the pdf file to a thumbdrive and print there. There are 2 problems. Some files may not print and you'll just get a single page. There might be a way around that I just haven't figured it out. The second problem is if the pdf will print it prints all the pages at one time.

Depends what it is. I generally just print what I need at the time.

I print it as I need it, but I do find that it is hard to remember that I have it and that it has things in it I can use.

You can print just the pages you need -pdf or word processing. I definitely would print it at work! I like to print the entire file and put it in a binder. It is easier for me to find what I need in print than it is digitally.

It depends on what it is. But generally, I love binders and if it's a unit, I'll put it in a binder.

I've bought several social studies units that include reading passages, and they're hundreds of pages long. I do actually print out everything (at school) and put it in a binder. This allows me to add in any supplemental resources for each unit into the TpT unit that I purchased.

Is there a reason you wouldn't be able to print something school related at school?

I usually only print the pages that I need. Rarely do I use an entire document if it's over a couple of pages long. I've purchased about 100 items, I wouldn't have anywhere to put all of it.

Print as I use it...

I used to print out things and put them in binders. Then I had too many bulky binders so now I print as I use them. I make notes in my planbook of specific pages or sections that I use. I I have taught the same grade for awhile so that helps.

No, but I've never printed so many pages. Each class actually has our own printer. Some of us share but most have our own. I see we all do it different ways. I also like to see what I have, that's why I'm asking. I'd prefer to print.
One more question: would it cost a lot to print it at staples?

You can upload it on staples.com to check out the price that way or check out the pricing per page. In my area it's $0.085 for 1-100 pages and $0.077 for 101-250 copies.

I have 3 printers at home (don't hate! ) - Brother laser color, Brother laser b&w, and HP all-in-one instant ink compatible printer. I print most things on my HP since I pay the monthly fee for 300 copies and then am just sent ink when my printer tells HP.

I save things seperately how I want it. For example, if there are 10 pages on simplifying fractions and there are color pictures or black and white pictures- I will save the 5 that are in black and white and only print that. Hope that makes sense.

I used to just search and print as needed. As Iíve accumulated more things, however, Iíve started printing and categorizing in binders. It saves time and is just easier (for me). We donít have a printing page limit or anything at school though. Thank goodness!

I started this summer organizing my ELA into google slides in an order that I want to present them. I think it is going to work out well. Now I am considering printing and turning them into student books to use.

We will see how much I finish.

I print as I need the individual pages. Binders need a place and I don't like to give up classroom space to binders. I have three small file folder boxes on my counter, one for each trimester. I store any single pages in those files.

I leave everything right on TPT. When I need something, I just go into my purchased items and search for it using the search bar, then print it off.
