There comes a time

There comes a time when, "Oh, that can wait" turns into to "Wow! We are living in a pigsty" We've been at the pigsty stage for awhile now. BUT I have enjoyed time with family and time with a good friend this weekend. Besides, who needs sleep! I can stay up most of the night to get us to a managable level of filth

No one has ever been heard to say on their deathbed, "My one regret is that I didn't spend more time cleaning my house."

Since I Decluttered and relentlessly got rid of stuff, our apartment is so much easier to clean.

I just spent the first 3 days of my spring break cleaning and purging my house. It was hard work and I was sore all over after. But my house is so nice now. I feel relaxed and comfy being here, not disgusting by living in my own filth.

When kids were home we use to do House Blitz. We'd set the kitchen timer and give ourselves a certain amount of time to work on house. Time could be 15 mins to 60 mins. Surprising when everybody pitched in doing something...collecting trash, starting the washer, loading/unloading dishwasher, spot cleaning the bathroom, put out clean towels, quick vac etc ... miss those helpers.
Teaching days I needed 2 out of 3 places clean: my house, my car, my classroom then I could think.

If I donít clean my house soon the ASPCA is going to take the dogs.

Yet here I sit on the couch. The dogs donít seem bothered by the mess. Iím clearly not.

I just washed dishes and put some in the dishwasher. I need to get on a decluttering spree.

We do this every night after dinner. Takes about 20 minutes and it never piles up.
