Clip to ScrapBook #1

There are less then two weeks left in my school year. My teacher friends and family are great people who are working hard towards the finish line.

However. If I see one more post about how the kid who needs the most love will show it in the least loving of ways oorrr a quote on how we just need to love them MORE or how every child with a behavior just needs empathy... I may scream.

Actually, what I’d like to do is edit that meme...
“sometimes the kids who need love most show it in the least loving way...and sometimes kids just stink”

Bright side...I can admit to my fails. And also - only 8 more days!

True story. My stinker spent most of today in the hall. I was just over him. He can show he needs love the most to his mother (who decided with 13 days left of school that NOW was the time to start him back on meds even though we’ve been begging all year. Apparently now that she has to deal with him all summer his outrageous behavior is an issue .).

Stick a fork in me, I’m done.

Sorry to say I'm glad I'm not alone! I had three students today have over the top reactions to the silliest of things! One was so violent that he had to be physically removed and then he was banging his head against the wall with such force I was really worried that he was going to concuss himself! One crying huge crocodile tears because I told them to stop arguing about who was going to partner read first and one child burst into the room from recess and proceeded to kick tables and chairs because of some recess drama.

So sick of the drama of 8-9 year olds!!

Agreed. I get it, to a point. But then I always begin to wonder about it when/if the pattern continues.

I have two kids that really do just need love and act out to get it. Huge hearts, huge behavior problems, and one with an unstable home life. I also have one kid who is just awful. Rude to every single adult he meets, talks back to even the principal, mean to friends and me. Just all around awful. No, he doesn't need 'more love' he needs tough love.

Not sure how my karma has warranted this but both of my stinkers are out today. Everyone in the room including the other students were singing out in joy.

Hang in there teachers! I remember that stress.

I started teaching before the Chicken Pox Vaccination. There was always a private lament that certain kids would get the pox. That would keep them out for 7-10 days.

Our county admins have a twitter chat every week, and if one more of them comments that they just need love, hugs, or human touch I’m gonna report them to CPS 😂 they sound like a bunch of pervs! Lol

Actually the meme should read "They need love, structure, expectations, and both positive and negative consequences for their actions. Oh, and they need an education so they can overcome the obstacles in their lives."
