Full Moon Friday

Today was quite a day (and not in a great way). My students were...energetic, and I was exhausted. It was like herding cats to help them all stay focused at the same time. EVERYthing was a big deal and we had to stop and start frequently to remember our rules and procedures. Tons of blurting out and interruptions and talking, talking, talking.

On top of that, I got a strange parent email (see the Busyboard for slightly more info if you're curious).

Whew. Thank goodness for the weekend!

Good news...a full moon on Friday the 13th wont happen again until 2049. I will be retired way before that.

It was a day of energy and excitement!

You are SO right. I am so glad to hear that the next time this happens is 2049.

My day was actually pretty good considering. It was also our 1st full week, which is always exhausting!! Our kids typically start the Wednesday before Labor Day so they have a three-day week, then a four-day week, then a 5-day week. However everybody felt like we've been there for 2 months already!

My day was great! However, I will not be teaching for the next one anyway. Not a chance unless I have returned as another human. Not sure I will have time to have grown up and gotten certified though. I guess that depends on the exit date.

Full moon Friday the 13th was the day I was on the coast of Mass. looking out the window at a really low tide, showing rocks, shells etc and the huge full moon was shining down on the lighthouse and waves. No complaints here.

IDK if severe and profound kiddos are more intuitive to changes, but holy cow. My two severe kids were off ALL week long. My paras and I were so ready for Friday.
