Clip to ScrapBook #1

A parent donated a set of alphabet bean bags with both uppercase and lowercase letters on the one side. Can anyone PLEASE suggest games and activities I can do with them. My mind is blank right now. Thank you in advance.

You could use them to spell out their spelling words in a center.

I wish a parent would donate something to my class!

What about playing something similar to "Hot Potato"? Have students seat/stand on the carpet. Select the bean bag with the letter of the day/week. Teacher says a word beginning/ending with the letter's sound. Students repeat word and say the letter's name &/or sound while passing the bean bag around.

How about keeping them in your circle area or near the classroom door and when it's a transition time (going back to your seat, getting lined up for a special or lunch, etc.) you randomly pass out the bags and they have to tell you a word that starts with that letter before they can line up.
