How often do you check your email?

How about you ?

I check through out the day because we get emails from our admin that we have to respond to. We are working 8-3, Monday-Friday and need to email parents during my office hours.

We are required to check our school email twice per day, but I probably check it more than that. I check first thing in the morning, around lunchtime, and mid-afternoon.

It's linked to my phone so I get an alert for a new email. Most of the time this is a good thing. Other times when it's just an idiot that replies to all instead of reply to sender it is extremely annoying. Definite pet peeve of mine.

Frequently throughout the weekdays. We have "office hours", but I tend to still check a little past that. I try to avoid even checking it in the evenings and on weekends. Anything can wait. If there's a true emergency our phone tree will be used.

I on purpose don't have it linked to my phone. Defense mechanism against previous school with insane admin and i just needed to leave it behind.
During days when I'm responsible for teaching (office hours and teaching hours), I'm at my computer with the email up. Other days, I'll check a couple times a day.

My school computer is sitting on the buffet in the dining room, open to email. I check it when I get an alert, otherwise I go about my day like I normally would. I turn it on about 8 am and shut it down about 4, our normal school contract hours. I might get 2 emails a day that require my attention, some days not any. Its pretty slow.

I have two jobs. One job's email comes directly to my phone, so I'm always checking whether I like to or not. I check my other work email probably 20 times a day

I have it on my phone, but my phone is normally on silently. When I go on my phone and see I have an e-mail, I read just the part it shows without opening my e-mail-the name of the person, subject, and the first couple of words. If it feels like I need to read it and respond right then and there, I will. Otherwise, I wait until I'm doing school work.

I have my personal and work email linked to my phone. It gives me a little more freedom to be able to get out of the house with the kids and go on long walks.

I really have been trying not to answer work emails from parents after work hours. If itís my principal or something else important, I may respond.

I don't think I check it hourly, but it's pretty often - maybe every 1-2 hours. When I'm at work, I check it anytime I get a chance. At home, I check it whenever I think about it or hear one come through on my computer (if I'm on my computer).

When I'm physically in the school building, I only check before school, during planning, and after school.

When I'm working from home, I have email open in a tab, so I can see it all the time if needed. If I'm not actively working, I'll check every couple of hours.

I don't have school email on my phone, and I don't have push notifications set up on my iPad.

Sometimes! The one that comes to my phone is usually more anxiety provoking. I also get emails from my kids' teachers on my phone in a different account and that is the most anxiety-provoking. Especially these days, since I get SO MANY EMAILS from teachers right now.

Going to go check it again...

For work, I always have a tab up with my email, during working hours so I check it fairly often. It works well for me. I like to be on top of my emails. I don't always respond right away, but I know what's coming of that makes sense. I like to work this way. My inbox is a running to do list and if I attend to the email, I move it out of the inbox. I do not have any phone notifications for work, I don't want to worry about it during evenings or weekends, but can choose to check it if I want.

Personal, I have 2. One for buying things one time or signing up for things. I never really check that one unless I need something checked for an order.

Other one is for all the more important stuff, and I get digest phone notifications every so often, so I read those and check the email less than once a day.

No school email since I worked in a private facility, but I check my personal email everyday.
