NECCO wafers returning

After a two-year absence the candy will be found in early June at pharmacies. Other retailers will follow. They will have the same flavors, and still be wrapped on waxed paper. I may be one of the few people I know who liked them!

DH loves those candies. Me, not so much.
I'll have to keep my eyes out for them and buy some for DH next time I see them.

I never knew they stopped making them! My mom LOVES them. I never really liked them. I bet she'll go crazy. I'll have to buy her some the next time I see them. Although, I don't think she knows they stopped making them either!

Thanks for sharing!

We used to use them to "play Mass" when we were growing up.

JanetL, I remember that use.

Also, certain flavors emit flashes of light when broken or crushed, in a phenomenon known as triboluminescence.

I think they're disgusting! However, the same compamy makes conversation hearts. I need those back in my life. Not to eat, but to make sentences and poems.

They aren't my favorite candy by any means, but I will eat them. My mom loves them too. I didn't know they weren't being made either.

We always used to break the white ones under our blankets when we were kids and watch them flash!

I LOVE Neccos!

When I heard they weren't going to make them anymore, I bought a whole box of them (24 rolls, I think) and rationed them for a long, long time!

I love them best after the package has been opened for a couple of hours or so...they are juuuust soft enough and juuuust hard enough to be the perfect texture (smile!)

Silly, huh?

I am so glad to hear they are coming back!

My mother also loves them as she's of a certain age. She especially loves the black ones. I love that woman, but there is definitely something wrong with her

Did you know that NECCO stands for New England Confectionary Company? They are based in Massachusetts!
