Our school has had Title I math for grades 3-5 and reading 1-3, so third grade was the only overlapped grade.
This year they added reading for grades 3-5. We are departmentalized in 4th and 5th, so the schedule was a nightmare.
The problem is reading and math serve 15 of the same students (for both). This means they are being pulled out for 80 minutes of instructional time.
If you school has this same situation, do you serve for both math AND reading. It seems we should serve for one or the other, since we should be supporting and the way it is we take up way too much of their instructional time in class.
Any suggestions?

My school has 2 Title Reading teachers and 2 Title Math teachers - when we pull students we don't pull them from instructional time - we pull them from their "study hall" type time and/or time their teacher has set aside for catching up on work or centers/independent study. Finding time to pull the "shared" students is difficult but we just make it work the best we can.

2 Title I (Resource Teachers)
We support literacy

We have
2 Title I Sum Teachers- they support 3-6 Math
1 Resource Teacher that supports k-2- Math

We support students and teachers in class.
We also provided pull-out intervention support for reading.
We do not provided additional pull-out intervention support for students in Math. I think there is a need for this type of support in our school.

Hello,

I am in a 4/5 Elementary Building and we service Reading and Math kids for Title. We had a nightmare of a time trying to find time to pull our students as well. All of our teachers are departmentalized. We have them for 30 minute blocks of time. If they qualified for both reading and Math, we did our best to find times that would work for the teachers to pull the for both. If we could not find a time that would work (because we were worried about them missing instructional time as well) we only pull that child for reading.
