Your projector’s image flickers or shifts

Issue
The image from your projector flickers or frequently shifts to the left or right.
Cause
Your computer’s screen resolution and refresh rate settings don’t match your projector’s native resolution and recommended refresh rate.
NOTE
All digital display devices have a native resolution which corresponds to their display capabilities. Matching your computer’s display settings to your projector’s native resolution and recommended refresh rate will give you the best possible image quality. Check your interactive whiteboard system’s specification document or user’s guide for its native resolution and recommended refresh rate.
Solution
Check if your computer’s screen resolution and refresh rate match your projector’s native resolution and recommended refresh rate. If they don’t match, adjust your computer’s settings.

To check your computer’s screen resolution and refresh rate
Press the Menu button on your projector’s remote control.
Select the information tab.
Check the input device’s screen resolution and refresh rate.
Adjusting your computer’s screen resolution and refresh rate
To adjust your screen resolution and refresh rate in a Windows 7 operating system
Right-click your desktop and select Screen Resolution.
The Change the appearance of your display window appears.
Select the monitor you wish to change, and then click Advanced Settings.
In the Monitor tab, select the appropriate refresh rate from the Screen refresh rate drop-down menu, and then click OK.
In the Change the appearance of your display window, move the Resolution slider to the appropriate screen resolution, and then click OK.
Click Yes to confirm changes to the display settings.
To adjust your screen resolution and refresh rate in a Windows Vista operating system
Right-click your desktop and select Personalize.
The Personalization appearance and sounds window appears.
Click Display Settings.
The Display Settings window appears.
Select the monitor you wish to change, and then click Advanced Settings.
In the Monitor tab, select the appropriate refresh rate from the Screen refresh rate drop-down menu, and then click OK.
In the Display Settings window, move the Resolution slider to the appropriate screen resolution, and then click OK.
Click Yes to confirm changes to the display settings.
To adjust your screen resolution and refresh rate in a Windows XP operating system
Right-click your desktop and select Properties.
The Display Properties window appears.
In the Settings tab, select the monitor you wish to change, and then click Advanced.
In the Monitor tab, select the appropriate refresh rate from the drop-down menu, and then click OK.
In the Settings tab, move the Screen resolution slider to the appropriate screen resolution, and then click OK.
Click Yes to confirm changes to the display settings.
