I like it- I like the dance/party beat. But the microphones going in and out is a little disappointing. And I didnt like Fergie singing Sweet child O'Mine.
Fergie didn't do Sweet Child O'Mine justice. Not bad, I have to admit I don't usually watch halftime, so this isn't too bad. But still could be better. Not quite sure what to think about the dancers with boxes on their heads.
Horrible! Maybe it was just me, but Fergie sounded awful.
Also, why even include Usher? All he did was say "oh" about 5,000 times. I would much rather have seen more of him, less of the screaming / computer sounds / jumping around.
In conclusion, way too much black eyed peas, not enough Usher!
ETA: I'm only 23, and a pretty big pop music fan, but still hated this! I loved years ago when they did Britney, Aerosmith and Nsync (I think they were a part of it) - it was such a great mix of the old with the new!
I'm not at all a BEP fan, but I rather enjoyed the halftime show. Music was tight and well-performed and fairly wholesome for all of the families watching. (Unless I'm just too old to get it...) My daughter thought it was awesome, so that works for me!
I thought it was pretty cool and entertaining to watch. We like the BEP and my boys were singing to the songs. I do agree that Fergie did not sing Sweet Child O Mine very well though.
I thought it was pretty good. Personally, I would love to see Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, and Eminem...okay, perhaps they are a bit of an odd combination...but they are my FAVORITES.
Fergie Ferg made my head hurt singing Sweet Child O' Mine. It was horrible and unnecessary. I DID like all of the lights and dancing. The tv head dancers reminded me of the blockheads on Gumby.
Music not my cup of teabut I thought it was pretty cool that all those dancers on the field were comprised of the local high school drill teams. Cool experience for those kids!
Half time show???? Could not stand it. Turned the channel and caught some of Pretty Woman. Infinitely better than what I saw at the start of that half time show.
We were rocking out dancing with it. Picture Grandpa 64, Grandma 50, gd 4, and gb 1 keeping up with the dancers. I can honestly say it was the best one I have ever seen. They didn't need to fake a clothing malfunction, just had heart!
U2 was 200% better than the BEP! I thought they were horrible and so was Christina Aguilerra! To delete parts of the national anthem is so unforgivable!
I usually like that group but tonight they spoke most of their lyrics rather than singing them the way they usually do. I do understand that it is a large venue and probably would not be heard otherwise but I do not remember other groups doing that. Fergie did sing later but was off key. I do think everything was flashy and it was nice to have local kids involved.
Another thing I found unusual is that some of the songs they sang were not their own original songs. I have never heard a group performing at the Superbowl singing songs other than those on their own albums.
