At what age did you let your child go to a friend sleepover?

it started when they were each in about third grade at some point. They were 8 or 9. They did stay with cousins overnight before that age.

Kindergarten for my kids. My parents had a rule about no sleepovers until 7th grade. I hated missing out, so my kids never did.

My son actually went on a sleepover when he was five, but it was with our neighbors. Had it been someone further away or someone we had less of a relationship with I would have made him wait longer. It seems like around 8 was about the age sleepovers became more of a thing.

My oldest had her first sleepover at 3. Good friends, but what was I thinking?

My boys were more like 7 or 8. But they didn't really have any interest, and a boy sleepover is a whole lot different than girls.
