Math money unit review game HELP

I have to review a unit on money.....adding, counting, value, giving change, etc....for 3rd grade...since my last lesson was so terrible, I thought if i could do a game it would be easier to get into and make it seem flowy as well as engage the students...less focus on me actually trying to speak fluently and stop the pauses, etc...because i am so new at this...SO any game you can think of that would be fun for them....i have play money...i just need to come up with some type of idea...PLEASE HELP.......

Well, the classic game there is playing store! You could try something with that.

I think that if you pair up the kids and give them some play money and a few items to "purchase" it would make for a good game. I would start by grouping students according to ability. I would probably pair up one child who is good at money with one who struggles. Next, I would get some small items: pencils, erasers, stickers, etc.. for each group. I would have a sheet with the price of each item and have them play store. You could make up receipts for each child to fill out for the item purchased (use as an informal assessment) have one child be the customer and the other be the clerk and then switch.

That is just one idea, you could also set up an ice cream shop. Children will be served ice cream and they have to pay for their scoop and for each additional topping. Just a warning this is not easy to pull off. You need lots of helping hands because the kids can get pretty excited.
