Back to School Gift for Team???

Clip to ScrapBook #1

Every year I find a really great gift for my team from all of you creative Proteacher posters. What fun ideas do you all have this year?

In the past I have done the M&M prescriptions and the cute scrapbook paper paint buckets and clipboards.

Also, does anyone use Vista Print for team gifts?

Thanks for your help. I can't wait to see what everyone posts.

Can you give the details of the M&M prescription?

I was thinking of getting my team a welcome back gift for our 1st team meeting.

I use Vista Print for birthday gifts for my teammates. I usually order them a pen and post-it note that match, or stationary of some sort. They love getting a little surprise in their p.o. box on their special day

M&M prescription

I can't remember who originally posted it....sorry. I printed this out on cute paper and even used an M&M font for the title. I cut out the precription below and attached it to a pack of M&M's. I have also heard about others who put them in actual prescription bottles.

M&M Pills for Teachers
Eat a brown M&M to temporarily calm your craving for chocolate
Eat a red M&M at the first sign of meeting overload.
Orange minimizes “Mental Block” during long range planning.
Eat a Green M&M to calm your frustrations while arranging the room
If you feel a head ache coming on while doing lesson plans eat a yellow M&M.
Blue M&M’s reduce Bulletin Board fatigue.
Directions: Take as needed. If all symptoms occur at the same time eat the whole bag. Warning: May cause weight gain.

This year I'm giving little dollar bin tote bags to each classroom teacher I work with as a Title I reading specialist (14 teachers). The bags will have:
-a DVD of reading resources I have downloaded
-a pack of bubble gum (we're a big gum-chewing bunch)
-cute sticky notes
-a Vista Print magnet (business card size) with a favorite reading quote on it
-a card welcoming them to the new year

The M&M Rx was so cute! I did that a few years ago and it went over well. If you ask the pharmacist, they will give you the bottles for free, then I typed the writing on paper and taped it on the bottle like a Rx label.

Last year someone mentioned giving water bottles with a powdered drink packet (like Crystal lite) attached, so I did that. I thought it was a good idea to have on the first teacher workday.

Other years I've given (or been given) the "list" tablet with a magnet on the back (sticks to file cabinets), or a new book for the class library (if you can find them cheap).

(you can also use ribbon to make these) old navy has cheap (but durable flip flops in an array of colors)

I saw this craft a long time ago and thought it would be really cute to do for co-workers...I'm going to get some cute scrapbook stickers (either school-themed or inspirational) with a Micheal's coupon and cheap sanitizer from the dollar store.

I bought a cute binder for all of my team to keep their team notes and info. I also made business cards for all of them. They will also receive a cute fingernail file. That is one item I can't live without in my classroom!

I got personalized stickers from 3 Dog Graphix. They have all different themes and were very reasonable. Here is the link:
