You don't have an afternoon recess?! Can you take your kids out and do your own afternoon recess? That is WAY too long without a big movement break.

I think if your math and ELA centers incorporate lots of hands-on activities and some movement that schedule will be okay. If it were me I'd move calendar to before math, and do phonemic awareness before your reading series lesson. 45 minutes does not seem like much time for ELA.

You have almost the same schedule at mine, just moved back a little! Mine is this:

7:45 - 8:00: Arrival and students eat breakfast in room
8:00 - 9:50: ELA
9:50 - 10:40: Specials
10:40 - 11:15: Lunch and recess
11:15 - 11:50: Writing/SS/Science
11:50 - 1:00: Math and math centers
1:00 - 2:05: Interventions/reading centers
2:05-2:11: Dismissal

We only get 10 minutes of recess so I'm going to encourage a lot of free movement in the afternoon. I already do flexible seating/no assigned seating so kids are free to work wherever they want, including the floor. I'll try to make my centers movement involved too, though I can't do any play based centers unfortunately. My admin also doesn't want us playing a lot of songs (they said one song per subject, less than five minutes, etc) so I'm going to be trying to incorporate a lot of whole class math games instead that have movement, like the one where you pick a number and go around and count and the person who says the number sits down, or cake-walk type games which the kids always love.
