I really really really want to see Top Gun: Maverick. I’m not yet comfortable sitting in a closed theater; I’ve decided to wait until streaming is available.

So today I watched the original Top Gun (Netflix). I loved it again. Now I really can’t wait to see the sequel.

Have you seen the new movie?
Are you interested?

The original was so iconic when I was in my teenage years. Take my breath away..... I swear that song was the soundtrack to every dance and tender moment in high school. (Not that I went to the dances, I just somehow knew that )

I actually don't have an interest in the new one, though. I'll probably watch it at some point.

I would love to see the new Top Gun but Kelly McGillis is not in it this time so I probably won't. She should at least have a cameo part.

I saw the original Top Gun when it came out but haven't seen it since. I do remember them filming on location here. Some of the places where they filmed are still popular with out-of-town visitors.

I loved the original and might see Maverick when it hits the streaming services.

I like Kellyís response in this article. Mainly that she looks age appropriate and thatís not what Hollywood is all about.

I liked Top Gun but it wasn't the favorite that it is with so many. However, I'm still interested in seeing the new one. I've only been in a theater once since covid but my current plan for the movies I really want to see is to go to a midweek, afternoon showing. If your local theater has reserved seating you can even check ahead of time to see how many people are likely to be there. And then wear a mask.

I already bought movie tickets to go this weekend for DH and I. The movie theaters here aren't crowded at the times I'm going and I will mask up if it's too crowded.

We watched the original last night.

We have tickets for the premiere Thursday night.

We have been to the movies a lot. A few times we have been the only ones at the theater. Friday night we saw Downton Abbey, and it was crowded.

We go to the movies frequently so we will go see this one soon. Looking forward to it.

Got tickets for the first showing. Our dolby theater has reserved seats that are in groups of two with space in between. Haven't been to a movie in years but for Maverick, I will.

I loved Top Gun. I want to see Maverick in a theater because I think the sound would be awesome but Iíll probably wait a few weeks. I only hesitate slightly because I donít really care for Tom Cruise anymore.

I went to my first movie tonight in years! We watched "The Lost City" and it was a lot of fun. I laughed many times and enjoyed it. We went to a late afternoon showing and there were a total of 8 people in the theater. This is an Icon theater, so seats are farther apart than normal theaters. I would do it again.

I love the original Top Gun. I saw a preview of the new one and I fear that they will rely on a lot of graphics and less on story, but I would like to see it. I probably won't get to see it in the theater, but I will if I have the chance.

I remember skipping school with my bf at the time to see Top Gun, and then getting ice cream after. I loved it then, and although I probably won't go to a theater to see the new one I'll watch it at some point. Top Gun was pretty iconic for my generation.

I didn't really care much about the new one. My feelings are that the original is perfect so let it be. But, my sister has early access tickets so we're going on Tuesday. One summer we watched it every single day. It was taped from a TV version and we had to fast forward through the commercials. I'm trying to get excited about the nostalgia and trying to forget that I think Tom Cruise is a total wackadoodle now

Saw the original one last week on Netflix to get myself pumped up ! Most likely will wait for streaming. I love the trailer on Netflix. I do hope they leave the volleyball scene out this time around. I don't think Ice Man will have the same effect.

I loved the first one! I saw it at a drive-in!

I doubt I'll make an effort to see this one, but if I find it while scrolling a streaming site in a few months, maybe.

I was never a huge Tom Cruise fan and now even less so. I have no idea who else is in the new one.
