I just finished season 1 of Abbott Elementary. I really enjoyed it, like The Office for teachers.

Yes, definitely my favorite show.

I HAD to watch it each Wednesday when the episode debuted. It was my weekly humor & stress reliever.

I even started a weekly episode discussion group with colleagues.

We would compare the people, situations, & events to our school & school district.

I’ve been teaching at my school for 20yrs & my district the entity of 25 yr career.

There’s a lot to compare & about & about.

After I finished the last episode I rewatched the first episode and there's a tie in between the two.

I really enjoyed it. While it was ridiculous in some places ( in a funny way), it was so true in others. I am a retired teacher, and my daughter is a current teacher. We had fun discussing it!

I think it is hilarious and reminds me of The Office. Sometimes you just need that type of humor —and after teaching for 33+ years I certainly could relate to a number characters!

I've enjoyed Abbott! I thought it improved as the season went along. Barbara's one liners were always a highlight. ("Sweet Baby Jesus and the grown one too!")
Abbott and TVLand's "Teachers" nailed many aspects of the profession.
