I see posts today talking about work experiences today. I'm so confused. Were you not OFF for Vetern's day? Here in WA, we are!

We're off today in Nevada--makes for a strange week. But the veteran's groups wanted to honor the real Armistice Day--llth day of the llth month at the llth hour when WWI ended. Makes sense.

All schools in my town were open, and I worked. The schools are required to have some sort of Veterans' Day lesson during the day. I think it works well.

we were all at school. Lots of meetings scheduled that day in fact (i think to keep teachers from taking that day off to spend w/ spouses, etc) many of our schools also had vet programs - they were neat and on tv.
