Help with interview question

One question I keep getting is how can teachers collaborate, outside of planning.and staff meetings. I shouldn't be looking for a canned answer, but I don't know how to answer this. Any ideas what they are looking for?

So what are your ideas and thoughts on this. Maybe if we see your ideas we can help you build upon those to make it less "canned"

At my school, we also collaborate electronically by sharing google products for lessons and ideas. This goes with grade levels and for verticle collaboration. We have some shared documents in public school folders that we are using to help facilitate collaboration between staff members.

My answer for this would have been shared professional development opportunities, faculty meetings and team planning, but the question is often worded, "besides team planning... I really am not sure what they are looking for.

I never feel like I know what kind of response they are looking for, but when in doubt I would say bring it around to something you can brag about that will make you look good. I would personally talk about a cross-curricular project that usually impresses.

Before I go into an interview, I review a short list of some of my proudest accomplishments, and then I see if I can work them all in during the interview.
