Pay Spread Over 12 Months

So I’ve been working as an ed tech in a school. I’ve only been here about 3 months but didn’t like it so my last day is next Friday. This is a school that spreads your pay over the summer so you get a smaller paycheck through the year. For example, I’m only actually paid for 47 hours every 2 weeks as opposed to 70 hours that I actually work. Pay is spread equally over 26 paychecks regardless of vacations, snow days, etc. Do you think when I resign I will get back pay from those hours I worked? I would have gotten it in the summer and otherwise I would’ve been working a whole bunch of hours for free. I followed the contract when it came to resigning and everything. Anyone been in this situation before? Thanks for any help!

The one you pay for every hour you worked. Technically, they’re supposed to give you your full paycheck on your last day. Make sure you know exactly how much you should be getting.

If the check is far less, refuse it and ask for the correct amount.

We get paid over 12 months. When you resign about a month later you get an extra check. This check includes those hours. I'd ask how they do it in your district.

Yes, they subtracted money from your pay in order to stretch it out over the summer.
Check the amount against your total salary. Divide by number of pay periods. Ours is 24, but yours is 26.
You can ask HR to send you a spreadsheet on how they calculated what is owed to you.
