Teaching in Alaska

I heard that they offer housing subsidies on top of bonuses, etc. in order to bring teachers into that land. Is it worth moving there?

I'd say if you really want a job, it's worth moving there. Many rural areas that are harder to fill offer teacher housing or subsidies and other incentives to bring qualified candidates in. I know many reservation districts do, and I wouldn't be surprised to see that Alaska does as well.

WHERE you'd be moving in AK would make a difference as to whether it would be a place I deemed "worth it" to move. Also, how rooted are you where you are? If you are young and starting out, I'd say go for it!
