What a boob! Calling America weak because schools are closing due to weather! Who does he think he is? We in Illinois are battling the coldest weather I've ever lived: 52 years, and besides schools, banks, doctors, and other businesses are closing.

So Mister Governor, you're welcome to come drive a bus or put salt out on our sidewalks and start cars for all of our families. Pleas show us how to be strong!

He was the one Frontline devoted a program to on public television. He wanted to decimate the public employees pension system. He tried to bury the changes in a sewage bill of all things, and got caught, and the courts threw it out. It remains to be seen if he is going to go after the pensions of teachers and others, but it sounded like he would like to. He is a tool.

on facebook and actually laughed out loud.

One would think a governor would be focused on the success of the schools in his own state instead of worrying about whether schools in other states call off because of weather conditions.

Teachers were part of the public employees pension system that was targeted.

He just can’t keep his mouth shut. And he should.

I’ve never been one to be overly political, but last spring when he was mouthing over pensions and calling us thugs, I drove to the capitol and stood outside his office door for hours with my protest sign.

I giggled over Al Roker calling him a nitwit.

The memes and t-shirts have been fabulous. And Gerry Brooks had a good video on today.

His children are all homeschooled. He knows zero about public schools.

I said that he went after the teachers pension and other public employees and that was in the original bill he tried to sneak through. The speculation is whether the pension changes he wanted will be pursued going forward yet again since the courts threw it out on the technicality by trying to hide it in that sewage bill. I know that teachers were part of the public employees pension system that was targeted, that's what I said in my original post.
