Reading with Meaning questions

I'm just wondering if anyone here has experience with using this program. Do you like using it or does it feel scripted? How long do your lessons take? Do you use it 3 days a week or 5? I'm a bit anxious because we will be adopting it next year. I'm really hoping I will like it better than the Envision Math. TIA for any advice or tips you can give me!

Are you talking about the book Reading with Meaning by Debbie Miller or is there now a specific reading program based on her book? Basically her book is about Reader's Workshop, and I found it a very good way to do RW.

I am so glad you asked this question. It is actually called Making Meaning. I do have Debbie Miller's original book, but I don't think this has anything to do with hers. I didn't bring home the information with me for the weekend and there is a second offering about Writing with meaning and I was trying to keep the two apart.

So I guess my new question is does anyone know anything about Making Meaning. It is tied in to the CC and is leveled by grade.

I would repost this question and title it, "Making Meaning".

It is decent. Not very deep but good. I hear the 3-5 program is much better than the second grade. Great read aloud books!

We have the first edition - and I agree - not very deep. I rarely use it. But, I've heard the newer editions are better.
