My mantle for the holidays. Yes, that is a bust of George Washington on my mantle. He used to be in my classroom. I usually take him down for the holidays but I found a child’s Santa hat at Hobby Lobby for him so I kept him up.

Love the Christmas stocking you made. The ruffles make it so cute for a baby girl!

I saw this poet at the farmers market. For a couple of bucks he will write you a poem.

I put this on Facebook to have people vote. My DH is winning so far. Actually I haven’t got any votes.

Amiga, love the picture of your grandson! Quite a cute little guy!

Momteach, we had an ice storm here this week also!

I just came back from a quick 5 day trip to Universal Orlando with my dh and ds. The parks were all decked out for Christmas. One of my favorite things was each area had a Christmas tree to match the theme. Here is the Jurassic World tree.

The last one is from Toothsome Chocolate Emporium, which is a restaurant in City Walk in Universal Orlando. It has a steam punk vibe so of course the tree is steam punk themed. I love decorating Christmas trees with a theme so this made me so happy to see!

The entire Kinder wing hallway (80 feet of it anyway) is the Polar Express.

And then we cram 100 kinders into one classroom (The North Pole) to watch the movie with S'mores and hot cocoa!

Those are awesome! I can't imagine how much time and work was involved. I'm sure the children were enchanted.

Please tell me that is not the fire alarm box transformed into a train headlight? ;-)

One of my students wrapped my gift and made a bag out of an old cereal box!

Love the electrical tape!

When you have tickets for the Star Wars premiere, your school outfit for the day looks like this.

It's a metal box set in the wall with a little door...maybe something fire-related? I'm not really sure what it is.
