Contractors!

I havenít had the terrible experience with contractors that Clarity did, but I do often have a hard time getting them to return calls or fit me in for a small job.

I texted back-and-forth (mostly forth) a zillion times trying to get the contractor who did 2 great jobs for me to come look at the bathroom fans (Iím obsessive about moisture). I know this is a small job compared to huge remodels, so Iíve been very polite about scheduling me.

OMG! He called yesterday and said 7am today. The guys showed up on the dot of 7! They checked the fans and 1 went off to buy new ones while the other puts down paper and plastic to protect my house. Yaaaaaaay!

The last time this guy did a job for me (laundry room vent), it turned into a huge and expensive production. Letís hope this is simpler (and cheaper).

Iím sooooooo excited itís finally happening.

Let me know what brand/model you bought, please. I am in the planning part for total gut of one bathroom and need a really good, quiet fan.

And lucky you for getting him to come quickly.

Yes, I'm curious on what can you get and how you like it. Our one rattles and our other one is ineffective.

Here's hoping the job is quick, easy, and successful. And that the fan works perfectly. Let us know.

One more thing about the fans I got: I told him I wanted the best ones. So there probably are cheaper ones.

Still waiting. I am such a terrible waiter.

After my kitchen remodel took a little over four months to complete, Iíve learned to be patient. I hope they get the job done for you today Amiga. Iím going with a different contractor for my basement remodel. Iíve been waiting two weeks now for the updated quote. Sigh... heís good and I trust him just like I trusted the other guy. I just wish they could be a little more speedy.

When we moved to NC and we're having our house built we were close enough to check on progress daily. We'd see no progress and builders response was...oh it was a nice day the subs went golfing or fishing! NO!!!!!!!! GO TO WORK!!!

Combo fan and light and had it wired on separate switches cause I cannot stand the sound of a fan. They installed it and the fan is SO quiet, that it actually could have been on one switch. I think it cost about $100 and it's a pretty large light.

I would love a new fan, but there is no way we could get the one Amiga got. It would be running all the time with our humidity and rain!
