Big accomplishment. Did you machine quilt it? The quilting is where get sidetracked. I have 2 that I got from my grandmother that are still not completed. I have started one...years ago.

I wrapped them last night, but I finished 2 two sided pillows for one dd and an apron for the other. Made a hat for my dh and one for me. I am going to make another for myself, too. Taking my yarn and tools with me when we leave Sunday or Monday.

Yes. I machine quilted it on a regular machine with a walking foot.

There may have been a lot of cussing.

I tried my hand at quilling today. This is my first attempt. The glue wasn't dry when I took this picture. I wanted to get the ornament finished to put on a package I was mailing today - Panic Saturday!

Love the projects everyone. I have nothing to show off because I've been obsessed with finding just the right vintage Little Golden Book. It's been fun looking for them. At some point I will stop shopping and start making the project.

I like this topic.

Zephie your quilting journey has paid off - itís lovely.
Mom teach - thanks for teaching me a new word.

Not sure if I posted this ornament or not. Made it for a teacher friend. The book is a real book. I cut out that teeny bird and glued it to the front.

Well, I got my hair cut, but that's really not MY accomplishment.

I had to say, though, you guys are SO talented!! I love seeing what you all are creating by your own hands! I'm amazed!!

PEPTeach, I love cheese! Would you mind sharing the recipe, please?

I can wait to see what other PTers are creating! Great thread, Zephie!!

Great ideas! I love the pictures.

Anna- I saw a young woman in the airport last week working on a traveling book. I don't know what the original book was, but she was busy with a glue stick and brochures from the area. SHe was carefully ripping them and deciding where to glue them onto her book. I thought it was a great idea and such a better use of time than what I was doing. (Nothing).

Zephie- I had a walking for for my last machine. It doesn't work with my new one. I need to find one I guess and give it a try. I wasn't successful on my last machine -but it was a cheap machine...

Teddie- Blanket? Or shaw? I brought home those round knitting looms from my mom's house. I think you can use them for stuff like that. I should search for a video. I have tons of yarn.

It is a triangular shawl. You could definitely do something similar on a round loom knitter.

We are going to my sister’s for Christmas and her neighbors will be there. We didn’t plan a gift for them, but we do have gallons of homemade cherry bounce so we are going to give them a bottle of it. I made this cherry themed gift bag for it last night.

He came out so cute! I'm glad you decided to try it.

Wasn't he tasty, too? I made it for my school party this year too, and everyone was taking pictures of him, but they sure dove him into him after that!

Cherry bounce is a concoction of pitted tart cherries soaked with vodka and sugar for at least 3 months. I believe you can use brandy or whiskey instead of vodka. The idea is to make it during cherry picking time and then break it out for Thanksgiving. It is a rather potent yet delicious cherry liqueur suitable for sipping at leisure. Some people save the boozy cherries to eat, but we donít.

Such creative people! All the pictures are terrific--well done, everyone!

I finally finished our Christmas cards. I have a note to myself to start in October so I don't scramble at the end. The one on the bottom two rows are the ones I started with so they're a little more elaborate.

DD asked me to make new quilts for the grands since they are getting too big to use the quilts I made when they were born, so I made 2 twin sized for the kids, and of course mom and dad needed something to cuddle with while watching TV. Work on these began last spring.

I didn't make this--I'm the least crafty K teacher on the planet! My aide made this for a Secret Santa gift for a teacher whose last name is similar and her class is always The Hedgehogs. Talent like this blows me away!

I love seeing what everyone is making!
These are shirts for my nieces, nephew, and in-laws. They are surprising the kids with a trip to Disney World. Each kid is getting 3 shirts and everyone is getting the grey one with the castle and fireworks.

Made this for my sister for Hanukkah. I lined it with a Swedish dishcloth and filled it with items made in our local community - cheese, jerky, English toffee, honey, etc.

Whoops - itís upside down, but you get the idea.

My sister does the travel journals too. If she weren't home I'd briefly think that might have been her you saw at the airport. She collects quite a bit for her journals.
