It was great weather yesterday, so DH and I went to where my dad was raised. It had been awhile since Iíd Ben there, and DH had never been. This is the road to the cemetery where my grandparents and aunt & uncle are buried. Itís no wonder the funeral home owns a hearse thatís a Suburban.

I was going to see my Goddaughter's family Iast night. She had hosted both sides of her family Christmas Eve and had a two year old. She warned me the house wasn't in perfect shape with this picture. I assured her that I wasn't expecting that!

I have done this project a few years now with my 4th graders. They pull 6 classmates' names out of a hat and write compliments about them. We worked on it over the last week of school. They were so excited to receive and read their " gifts" on Friday They did a great job coming up with compliments for each other

Warm weather winter in NC
Old 12-27-2019, 05:46 AM
  #5

We have had mid 60's for highs in NC and our lawn is now green, the tree has buds, and my DH was doing a weed spray. It is so much like spring here, nothing like the snowy Christmas in the past in PA.

I enjoy the warmer weather but it is not normal for this time of year.

Oh, hooray, my favorite thread. TeacherMeg, I love your picture of joy.

Here I sit looking out a window at this sunrise when I need to get busy.

Christmas gift for my aunt
Old 12-27-2019, 07:33 AM

My aunt had been watching the other two quilts be made on FB. She was asking where hers was, so I loved watching her face when she opened it. I won't post a pic of her because she hates having her photo taken, but I will share the pic of the quilt she just sent me

Still cannot manage to post a photo! It is almost 50 degrees here in little Rhody. Lovely day for being outside. Just went for a marathon walk...

DD & DS are 8. I think they are in that stage where they have the Santa thing figured out, but aren't 100% yet. I showed them this picture of him in our living room (which I think looks totally fake). Now they are definitely confused

Finally got to have a couch/Netflix day. We eventually dragged ourselves out for a walk, but it sure felt good to be lazy for awhile.

I saw this tucked in a corner at Dickens Faire last week. Some of you will know what it is. I got a good chuckle.

We went to the local lights display where people walk around a lake. It takes about half an hour strolling. We were quite taken with this dinner table and chandelier.

The lake we live on is frozen close to the shore. You can't see it, but the waves are frozen. How is that possible? This was taken from the far side of the lake from where we live.
