TMI question— medication

I’ve been prescribed a water pill to help me with some swelling. I definitely need it but I’m just nervous to take it because I don’t want to be running to the bathroom all day.

Did this happen to you? If so for how long did it last?

I take a water pill for Meniere's Disease. I worried about the same thing. I truly don’t notice I’m running to the bathroom anymore than usual.

I took a water pill for about 6 years. I didn’t notice a significant difference in bathroom use during the day. I’ve heard people say they notice getting up at night if they take an evening dose. I don’t think I’ve ever slept through the night in my entire life, so I didn’t notice anything different.

I, too, take a diuretic for Ménière’s disease. The nurse practitioner suggested I take it in the morning. I haven’t experienced a significant increase in trips to the bathroom.

I took it first thing in the morning, with 2-3 visits to the bathroom. Usually by noon I was back to normal.
Were you prescribed potassium to go with it?
