X books

I used to have my kids make a X book with all the facts to use as a resource for studying, worksheets, etc. Now, I'm not sure I like this idea anymore. Do you have your kids make a booklet? Or just use the fact table? Any cute ideas?

We make a book of 2's through 12's. Each set or page is a hundred's chart. We highlight the products and make observations about the pattern created by counting by this number. Then we have a blank space below where we write each fact and its answer. The students use this book as a resource while learning their facts.

I actually tried this today (I think I saw an earlier post of yours with the same idea). It got confusing because I had just taught the multiplication fact table and since it looks similar to the 100's table, some got confused. Has this ever happened?

I have not had that happen before. However, I can see how that might be confusing since they are both grids. Maybe next year do the 100's chart packets first. Then show them the multiplication table later after they have learned most of the easy facts and some of the more challenging one. Good luck! Most of my students have passed their 0's - 12's. Yea!!
