This says it all. Wish it could be posted in public places where people are still gathering (ie beaches, malls, etc. ).

Coronavirus Explained Easily

Karen got infected yesterday but she won't know until 14 days later.
Karen thinks she is healthy and is infecting 10 persons a day.
These 10 people think they are ok, travel, shop, and infect 100 people a day.
These 100 persons think they are healthy and keep infecting up to 1000 persons.
No one knows who is ok and who can infect others.

Do you understand why it is important to stay home?
Be responsible and stay home friends!

Makes sense.
It is now being community spread in my area.
That means there are people walking around with the virus, unknowingly spreading the virus to others. Being in a small group, large group, or with 1 other person- it doesn't matter now.

Right! I have no idea why people are even asking should I still go here & there, but then tell us we're all correct when they reply back.

Everyone needs to understand, unless we're getting food, TP and similar, and maybe going for a walk in a spaced out area, we shouldn't really be going anywhere else.

We're not giving a flying fig about hair, our nails, Botox treatments, having our kids' birthday parties because he only turns 1, 16, 18, 21 years old once, book club meetings, potlucks, yoga meet-ups, hiking gatherings, etc. and keeping our longtime hairstylists, nail technicians, etc. in business.

Also, please try not to get injured in any way these days to have to go to the doctor. A friend of my Mom's hurt her thumb somehow and she called her Dr and/or urgent care and they sent her away.

HEALTH and NOT SPREADING IT IS THE PRIORITY!!!

I do not disagree and I haven’t gone out, except for groceries, since last Thursday.

However, I also think that right now the biggest thing we need to be extending to everybody is grace.

It’s incredibly difficult to change all of the things you’re used to doing, that are normally a given.

I live alone and even though I’ve spoken to friends/family everyday and FaceTimed... it’s only 1.5 weeks in and I’m already stir crazy. When you’re used to consistent human interaction it’s hard.

Many people are going to struggle with their mental health right now, especially those who already have mental health issues and I’m thanking God I’m not one of those people right now. So, I think we need to just offer everybody a little grace.

I like to think everybody, at least most people, are doing the very best they can under extremely unknown and awful circumstances.

I wish everyone would just realize that this will be over sooner if everyone listens and stays in. Asking people to stay home is really asking very little for most of us. We need an attitude change. You can do anything you make up your mind to do.

I agree. I do have a thought, though...
Why is it Karen?
Because those 10 people per day are all the managers she keeps insisting on talking to everywhere she goes.

I'm NOT making light of this situation AT ALL. Just trying to destress us a little. I'm in VA and our schools are now closed for the rest of the school year. We usually go til at least the first full week of June, depending on district/location.

That is an excellent way to put it into perspective!
