New Teacher Resource Chart
Old 07-05-2008, 06:55 AM

Clip to ScrapBook #1

Hi.

I am helping a coworker who is a middle school teacher create a chart for new teachers to give them an idea of some mini-lessons for the first few weeks of school. She made an awesome chart for middle school, but I thought it would be a little unrealistic for primary. I tried my best to work it down to level, but I'm still relatively new at workshop.

If there is anyone out there who has time to look it over and give me feedback, I would be very very grateful.

Sara

It's concise yet gives just the right information! I find it helpful. Thanks for sharing!

I volunteered this summer to "flesh out" / develop a script for the first unit. When I get to it, I'll post it for everyone. (It'll be specific for first but I'm sure it could apply somehow to K and 2 as well)

I think this is a fabulous format for planning every unit. I really think this is a great way of combining Collins and Fountas and Pinnell!

I am brand new to RW, trying it out for the first time this year. Thanks so much for the chart! I feel much better about starting out after seeing it and reading all of the advice on these boards.

It's not my work. While I don't mind giving it to individual teachers and I know my friend wouldn't mind, I'm not comfortable posting it on the web. PM me.
