Our main hospital just put out a request for donations of the following items:
What to Donate:
• Disposable face masks
• N95 masks, sometimes called respirators
• Eye protection, including face shields and safety goggles
• Disposable gowns
• Disposable gloves, especially non-latex
• Disposable surgical caps
• Disposable foot covers
• Wipes, bleach or antimicrobial
• Hand sanitizer
Not to many people have these things lying around their house...

They went on to say

Along with medical supplies, community members are encouraged to donate care packages to our tireless hospital staff – snacks, cookies, candy – and any notes of inspiration and encouragement welcome. Care packages should be packaged securely as they will need to be cleaned with disinfectant wipes before distribution.

The epidemic is just starting in our state.

These are crazy difficult times. Our healthcare workers deserve a massive raise! I know they won't really get it.

That really is sad. You hear about it on the news, you know it's coming, but when it finally hits it's still unbelievable.

Yes your list is correct at my husband’s hospital as well. Masks were stolen twice, in large amounts. Super sad. And not replaced. Nowhere to get them.

People are making them at home to donate to hospitals. Do hospitals really want masks made at home? Seems unsanitary.

We saw this coming.... and now it's too little, too late to catch up, but at least we are trying

Do nail salons wear masks? wonder if they would be able to donate

I saw on facebook that a tattoo parlor is donating all their masks, etc., since they are closed for the time being and don't need them.

From what I understand, they are disinfecting the masks (bleach, peroxide, UV light, high heat - not sure how) since they are coming from the general public.

Also, on the good news front, https://nypost.com/2020/03/22/anheus...avirus-crisis/

That's pretty cool.
