Air card help

Does anyone have an air card?
I am going to be moving and do not need a phone or cable but will need internet. Have a macbook and have heard I can get an aircard.

How does this work?

Can I buy an aircard from ebay/amazon/best buy and then hook it up to my macbook and use Verizon as my provider (I already have cell service through them)?

Thanks in advanced for any advice you can offer.

you should be able to get it through them, often for free with a data plan. I have one through AT&T. I currently have the USB one, just plug it into a USB port and connect, but will be upgrading to a wireless hotspot as soon as I can upgrade. I would suggest the mobile one if they have one, and your macbook has a wireless card, then you can just have it with you, and also use it to connect your cell phone if you have limited data and need to use internet.

I don't know how much Verizon's are, but I pay 50.00 a month for 5GB of data with AT&T.

Also, consider that most say "unlimited data", but I found out unlimited means 5GB... so be sure if they tell you it is unlimited that it is TRULY unlimted
