The most perfect little house came on the market yesterday. It's (mostly) in my price range, in an area I'd love to live in and it's ready to go.
I really, really, really, want to go see it. I filled out the form last night and haven't heard anything. I left a message for the realtor this morning and haven't heard anything.
I'll be dollars to doughnuts they already have an offer.
I actually don't have a realtor yet. I need to find one. That could be one of the reasons I'm being blown off. That's stupid because I want a realtor in THAT area. She's shooting herself in the foot twice. If I had liked her I met have used her to buy. Now, since she can't return a phone call, I won't.
You really need your own realtor. Someone to look out for you. They can write up an offer and if they've already accepted one you can ask to be first if the accepted offer falls through. If it hasn't been on the market long they may be giving it a few days to see what kind of offers they get.
Definitely get a realtor. Houses are going so fast that you need someone with inside information. The only way my stepson got a house is because his realtor was able to get him in to see a house before it was listed.
I went on realtor last night out of curiosity. I checked areas I knew well in three different states. Almost all of the houses were pending or under contract. It is crazy! I guess the low interest rates have everyone buying.
Well I talked to the seller’s realtor and the house has major foundation issues. 2 walls already need work and I’m guessing the other 2 will eventually need work.
Oh bummer! But you're right about the foundation - I'm willing to tackle a lot of stuff (on our own or with professionals) but wouldn't touch foundation issues with a 10 foot pole.
Well I was going to come on to wish you luck in getting the house, but it seems as if you had good luck. So glad you were able to talk to the seller's agent and found out about the foundation. There will be the right home for you & Aikman out there.
Sorry about the house, but I might consider that realtor for your future needs. If the seller's realtor was forthcoming about the foundation issues of a house they were trying to sell, they would probably look out for your interests as a buyer. Just a thought!
