Hi:

I was wondering if any of you have some ideas for listening comprehension activities. This is for an Ell high school senior.

Thankyou
Elepen

I teach elementary, but, we do lots of "follow my direction" activities.

An example would be that I draw a picture, then I tell the student how to draw the picture, and then we like to see if the pictures are the same.

We also play simon says but I don't think your high schooler would love that as much as my elementary students do.

Do you have Brain Pop?

They have many short nonfiction movie clips. Then there are multiple choice tests the student can take. There are math, science, social studies, health and biography topics. They may be too young but they are very informative. They have a few you can sample if you do not have a membership. Make sure to go to Brain Pop and not Brain Pop Jr. so it will be more age appropriate.
