Update on traumatized by long term sub job

Oh boy
Talk about Dejavu
The teacher is in the same room where I did the long term subbing next to the hypocritical teacher bitch who smiles and stabs you in the back.
She has a sweet 2nd grade with a couple of characters
They're at PE now and then she'll be back. She was so sweet to me and was glad I picked up the job
I don't think I'm being paranoid but there's a different climate here at this school, not as welcoming
I'll be pretty choosy if I sub here again.
It went well and am looking forward to my lunch and maybe a movie

My rule of thumb...Don't get involved. I found anything you say to a teacher about another, ALWAYS gets back to them. I confided in another teacher who I have become friends with about another teacher's sub plans. Well, it got back to her.

I learned that the hard way. You never know who knows who, who's connected

So true, Smores18 and elepen.

Elepen, you conquered your fear and it seems as though you had a good day. Isnít it nice to be able to be selective about which schools you sub for?

I've learned how to play the political game very well. Only tell people things you want them to know and want to get back to the boss. As a sub, never trust the regular teachers unless they start complaining about someone you dislike openly, and even then, just play dumb unless you have a major grievance you want to bring up. Observe teachers during staff meetings, if they are always grinning and nodding along with the boss like Tracy Flick, do not trust them! Younger teachers can be some of the worst, they think they have something to gain by brown-nosing.
