Fireworks Rant

I'm a cranky old lady who had finally drifted off to sleep and
BOOM!!! Sounded like a gas explosion...and it kept on happening. Fireworks are illegal in our city but at least we've had some rain which has lessened the fire danger. Why do they have to do them after midnight?

I'm still up and livid. My dig goes INSANE. I have given her the calming chews etc. but nothing is working. Almost 1 AM and the barking is still going because the ILLEGAL fireworks are going right behind my house!!! I reported them. I wouldnt be sad if some idiot blew off a finger. Then maybe they would stop.

DH gets up at 3:15 am for work. He always works on the 4th, and the days surrounding it are miserable.
