I'm trying to get some electrical work done and I texted the guy to set up a time (partly my fault, I should have done it weeks ago when I knew I was off today).

He texts me back anytime before 2:00.

Does he think I don't work? WTH??

The problem is I like and trust him. I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place.

It's really impossible to know, especially for a journeyman or an electrician or plumber. The problems might be caused by ABCD with solutions requiring WXY or Z depending on the exact situation, and he can't tell until he gets there which it's going to be.

Someone's little problem might be huge requiring hours of work and someone's huge problem might be a tiny short that lets him move on right away.

I wish these things had a stable time table, too. I do most of the maintenance around my home and sometimes it takes hours and hours for a seemingly tiny Things.

If you like and trust him, just give him the code and let him go in at his leisure?

My painter and landscaper are both personal friends and I just give them access. I don't need to be here!
