Ask again?

I have a friend with whom I meet up now and then for lunch. I texted her Monday about having lunch one day in the next 2 weeks and she said absolutely and would let me know Tuesday what day was good for her. We texted each other about something else a few days ago and I saw her tonight at church where we hugged and chatted. She has not mentioned lunch and I go back to school in 2 weeks (she is going to be away the week after next). Would it be annoying of me to ask again, or should I let it go?

Nancy

I’d ask again, but I’d do it in such a way as to give her an easy out (just in case she’d rather not). Maybe text something like, “Are you going to be able to squeeze me in for lunch one day before I have to go back to work?”

I would ask again. I'd just say that you were wanting to touch base to see if lunch was going to work out before you start back to work.

I would ask again, but I would say something like “How does Wednesday work for lunch this week?” That way you’ve established a day and if that doesn’t work for her, she’ll let you know what does work.

I think it'd be ok to ask. She may not realize when you go back (and some people don't think about the fact that it's sooner than the kids go back).

Thanks friends! She actually texted me before I had a chance to ask her, wanting to know when school started for me and which days I was free!

I appreciate all your wisdom!
