Who likes liver?

I do! I like fried chicken livers, and I like calf's liver cooked with bacon and onions. I also like fried livermush and scrapple, although technically those are not liver. (I don't think?)

I love liver and onions. Has to be cooked right, so I only do it myself. I also love chicken livers. Never had livermush and scrapple that I know of.

I remember fixing liver and making my kids eat it. Once. My dd almost puked on the table.

I love calf's liver! As a kid we had it with onions on top and I was the only kid who liked it. Truth be told I have not had it in a long time.

I like beef liver, haven't had it in ages though. Liked it as a child too.

I also like cow's tongue!

Chicken livers, I never really ate. I like the flavor of gizzards much better, so I ate them.

My mother used to eat liver and onions at a restaurant from time to time when I was a kid

No idea if she still does.

I love liver and ate it for many years as I was growing up. Smothered in bacon and onions.. yum!

Sadly I never eat any kind of livers now. Livers strain toxins from the food we eat and even though the toxins do not collect in the liver, I just cannot consume it anymore. I cant get that out of my mind to enjoy liver. Darn!

My dad likes it. A family friend fixed liver and onions for him one time when I was 10. She made her fabulous fried chicken for the rest of us. I never tasted the chicken. I was too busy in the bathroom gagging from the smell.

An old boyfriend's mom fixed liver when he was a kid. They told him it was pork chops. In college he visited a friend's family. They asked if he liked liver. He said he'd never had it, but would try it. Later told his mom it tasted just like her pork chops

I've tasted it once at a fine dining place in San Francisco. It was ok, but I wouldn't order it or make it. I do not like onion-heavy foods, so the way liver is often prepared is a no-go for me.

My dad ate liver and onions frequently when growing up and he loves it. My mom hated the smell when her MIL cooked it so she never cooked it in our home.

And braunschweiger too. But they are a very occasional treat for me since I don't think it's particularly good for me.

Liver n onions was a common meal when I was a kid. My papa loved it. The only version he liked better than my mom's was from the Yugoslavian restaurant I worked at in high school. I think it's nasty.

Oh my gosh my papa loved braunschweiger/liverwurst too. I thought that was gross, too. I'm a bad Polack!

My mom used to make it for me on my first night home from University. Always with onions and peppers. She also makes a really good chopped liver (like pate but from chicken livers). My DD likes it but we have always called it brown spread because when she was younger we didn't want to put her off from liver. She now knows it is liver and still eats it.

I LOVE ❤️ liver ( chicken & beef).

I like it fried (in flour batter).

I like sautéed with onion.

I like it smothered down in gravy( dark brown gravy-never light gravy

I do not like liver but love braunschweiger/liverwurst.

I know of a couple that marinated their calf's live in wine. They also grilled it.

I do! I've never had it with bacon, but it sounds yummy! I always had it with onions when I was a kid. Never occurred to me then that others didn't like it!

I love fried chicken liver, and I’ll eat some kinds of pate.

My parents loved liver & onions, but I was never a fan.

Yuck! Whenever mom made liver and onions she would invite me over. I always declined that invitation!

I've honestly never tried it! I don't know anyone who makes it. My mom never made it growing up. I'd be willing to taste it just to see!

You can buy it thinly sliced and individually packaged slices.

Melt butter in pan over as high a heat as you can without browning or burning the butter...

Mix flour and pepper on a plate. Rinse the liver then dredge in flour. Place in pan cooking only about a minute or so each side-- Overcooked gross.

Take out of pan. Then saute sliced onions. Add liver back to pan and let flavors meld heat off while you whip up gravy and mash your potatoes. Steam some kind of vegetable to go with meal.

My father is 98 and has been consuming liver his whole life. He would like it once a week but gets it about twice a month.

I do not really care for it.

We were raised "stay at the table until you finish your dinner" more gristle in the 70s yuck. Sometimes it was alright depending on how hungry we were.
