Necklace storage

I have somehow acquired a lot of necklaces. I hate that they are all kind of mushed together, which makes it hard to see/find one I am looking for. Does anyone have any great way you store them? TIA

Are we my twin?

Are you my twin? Seriously, I was thinking this same thing!

Right now I have a short dress, just three drawers, and I store them all on top. But the dresser collects dust and then so do the necklaces and I just don't like it.

I've seen these storage things that I was thinking about getting and certain stores (Dollar type stores). They have a cloth back and a little ribbon at top to hang it from a hook. Then there are these little clear plastic pouches on the front. You can put one necklace in each pouch.

I have something similar to this one:
https://www.amazon.com/brotrade-Hang...n%2C157&sr=1-3

Mine is from Vera Bradley and isn't nearly that big, but it looks like they don't make it anymore. I love it because it hangs on the back of my bathroom door, so it doesn't take so much space. I can also see things easily and they don't seem to get tangled.

I made this years ago for earrings. But you can add small “s” hooks for necklaces.

In case photo doesn’t load, I stapled wire grid to the back of a deep picture frame. I’ve seen it done with chicken wire. You can also stretch picture frame wire across a frame in rows and clip necklaces with tiny clothespins.

I second the storage idea suggested by Pepteach. I picked one of those up a year ago. Best thing ever!

I saw this idea for traveling with necklaces to keep them from getting tangled. If you had a jewelry box that things were being kept in, the straw might help. I only have about 4 chains that I wear. They are on two small hooks inside a dresser cabinet door.

I have a key hook similar to this hanging on my wall next to my vanity where I hang all my necklaces.

I happen to have a lingerie tall chest of drawers that has a hidden side compartment that opens and has a line of hooks to hang necklaces. I like it as they never get tangled up.

So, Iíve seen diy ideas where creative people made necklace hanging storage out of towel rods with shower hooks, or a wooden clothes hanger with lots of those little screw-in cup hooks put on it for hanging necklaces. I even saw a rake head one, which I thought was clever.

I made this several years ago with an old kitchen cabinet door. I glued foam to the surface, Man put screws part way in and I attached little sequins to the top of the screw. It took about 20 minutes to make.

I bought expanding mug racks from a thrift store and painted then the same color. They’re hanging in my closet. It’s messy right now because I’m bad about putting them back wherever instead of where they should be.

Jewelry armoire with mirror

Check out the wall storage mirrors/jewelry armoires with full length mirrors. Inside the locking cabinet is room to hang tons of necklaces, slotted compartments for rings, earrings and bracelets. Some even have storage for makeup and more. Best part is the large wall mirror for the fashionista.

I have a tree thing I hang all my jewelry on.
