Need help with colors...

Clip to ScrapBook #1

Ugh. Feeling blah about my choice of colors this year. There is a reason I went with what I did, but too lengthy to get into.

I have a basic light (ocean) blue. See attachment. It doesn't look as pretty as it sounds, but it did cover up some ugly colored cabinets.

I also have some items I've covered in all gray and gray/white design.

I'm looking for a color to cover a bulletin board that is not white, gray, or ocean blue. Something that will pop. I plan to order off of Amazon.

I don't want to go pink...I have 11 boys to consider.

Any suggestions? Thanks! (Feel free to post links from Amazon).

If this matters: The cabinets I've covered in this blue are not near the bulletin board. They are actually on opposite sides of the room if that matters...

Coral would be pretty. Yellow means I could use the (free) rolls at school.

Wondering if I could find coral...I do see magenta on Amazon. Off to look.

I'm digging the idea of coral. Now I'm not limited to Amazon since I don't see it on Amazon. If anyone finds it (coral butcher paper) elsewhere, let me know!

You might find a flat bed sheet in coral on Amazon if you’re up for trying that instead of paper.

I was actually thinking bed sheet or fabric. Not going to find coral butcher paper...

Coral, yellow, orange.

I see by your other response that coral is hitting you. That's what I'd do.

Never in a million years would I have come up with coral! I found a twin sheet on Amazon and ordered it. I also found a pretty border for it.

Thanks, Zia!

Thanks to all who responded! Lime green would have been my 2nd choice and I learned something...never thought the ocean blue and lime green would go together.

Edited to add: Now I'm actually excited about the colors of my room.

I am glad you decided on a color, but just wanted to add that I use plastic tablecloths on my bulletin boards. They come in a wide variety of colors, they don't fade, and they are cheaper than sheets. They are also easy to trim to fit the different sizes of bulletin boards.

Thankfully, our fire Marshall is okay with fabric, as long as our walls aren't more than 50% covered.

Eagles~See this is why I LOVE PT. I never would have thought or coral and I never would have thought of plastic tables cloths! Thanks!
