Voting Roll Call

I thought it would be fun to start a thread where people can post when they have cast their ballot in the election. Letís see how many PT members can vote this year!
This isnít a political post. It is just a way to celebrate that we have participated in the election process.

I dropped my ballot in a ballot box last Friday. I actually just checked yesterday to make sure, and it's been accepted! Already, over one million ballots have been accepted in my state! We are crushing previous voter turnout records!

I sat in my vehicle and voted in the court house parking lot, then dropped it off in the ballot box last week. I really prefer early voting as you can fill it out when it works for you. My son, age 24, can't believe I don't want to vote in person. My husband also requests an early ballot. I'm always afraid that I will come down with the stomach flu or some other health emergency and not be able to make it to the polls on Election Day!!

A week ago, I placed my completed ballot in a ballot box outside of town hall. I checked online and it was accepted. On Saturday and Sunday, I saw many people outside the fire station participating in early voting.

mine off yesterday in a ballot box outside of our Board of Elections. I did send them an email asking about tracking. I think I check on my state site, but I'm not sure. Hope to hear from the county in a day or two.

I received my ballot 18 days after it was mailed. I was worried it won't be received, but last week I mailed it in and Monday was notified that it has been received. Because we don't count votes until election day, my vote hasn't been officially counted.

My aunt finally received her's at 7:00pm last night, she completed it and its back in the mail. There were some problems with the bAllots being printed so that is why they were late. We live in different counties but are about 20 minutes from each other. 864511032020

My husband dropped off the ballots we received in the mail at the drop box at the county clerk’s office on October 9th. We were notified that they were both received and accepted on October 14th.

I voted in person today at an early voting site. Waiting in line for 50 minutes never had to do that before, but it was a beautIful day outside. Thankful to the poll workers keeping everyone safe.

We are old fashion and plan to vote in person at our local ward spot at the high school. We will wear mask and I'll have my trusty cane to wave to make sure folks keep their distance.

I voted within 24 hours of getting my ballot in the mail (we are a vote by mail only state). I think that was last week? We got it our usual 3 weeks before the election, I think. Anyway, I dropped it into our drop box and it's been received and counted, per the ballot tracking.

We received our absentee ballots a few weeks ago ( I think). We filled them out and hand delivered them to our village clerk two days later. Then we checked online to double check they are recorded as returned.

We voted on October 13. Every registered voter in California received a mail-in ballot this year. DH and I have voted absentee ballot in the last couple of elections since we were traveling a lot. This time we dropped our ballots off at the manned drive-through booth at the Registrar of Voters office. We had to wait for about 30 seconds. As we drove through, we realized that a camera man from a local news station had filmed the two cars ahead of us.

By mail. Dropped the ballot in the drop box at our town hall. All set here! I called the Secretary of State and they said they were processing 10,000 ballots a day. She said ours should be accepted by Monday.

I voted in-person on Monday, the first day of early voting. I had a mail-in ballot at home, but really wanted to go to the polls I felt safe. I went right when it opened, and safety protocols were in place. In and out of the building in 20 minutes.

DH and I voted in person yesterday. We had requested mail in ballots, but took them with us and turned them in unmarked. I have RA and my signature changes depending on how my hands are working that day. I have no idea what my signature looked like the day I registered to vote. Not taking any chances this time!

DH and I filled out our absentee ballots last night. Swift and I put them in our official Board of Elections ballot box this morning.

With DH’s crazy hours and me having to wrangle DS, we weren’t willing to chance waiting until Election Day this year. Plus, it gave me a chance to talk about voting with DS because taking him to the polls (like my parents did with us) is a no-go.

Washington Vote by Mail

In Washington we vote by mail. I received my ballot, voted, and put it in the dropbox. It has been received and accepted. It won't be counted until election day.

My husband and I went to vote

Tuesday. He has been sick so I had to purchase a transport wheelchair so he could remain seated while we waited in line. Took about 45 minutes. Felt so good to get that done.

I am a little surprised at how widespread mail in voting has become in your states. In my state I would not qualify for mail in voting so I went to early voting. Waited about 20 minutes in line, which isnít too bad for my area. Glad to have that done!

I will be voting in person on Election Day. I am lucky to live in a rural area and even with social distancing, I don't think there will be a huge wait. I could have voted by mail, and I still can take advantage of early voting, but I think I will just wait until Election Day.

We voted last week and took our mail-in ballots into the election commissioners office. There are some funny I voted stickers on line. Here's one:

DH and I voted yesterday (October 21st). There was a line that took about 15 minutes. It wasnít too bad. The doors were open so there was plenty of ventilation.

As soon as we left there was no line!

State of Vermont mailed a postage paid ballot to every registered voter. I filled mine out and brought it to the town clerkís office and dropped it in the ballot box on Oct 9th!

Walked our ballots to the drop box today. I love Oregon's 100% vote-by-mail system.

I opted to do mail-in voting. Then I decided to do early voting. Went on Oct 23. In and out in less than 5 minutes. I got my pen because they were out of stickers.
