Why did I say yes?

Our PTA is working hard to try and support families, so when they reached out and asked us to present on a day before school started, none of us felt like we could really say no.

From what I have seen, parents don't show up (all virtual) and so they share the videos for parents to watch at any time. My guess is that there will be 2 people at it other than me this morning.

Of course, I didn't sleep well, and Thursday is the day I have classes back to back all day with no break. I have a kinder class with a nutso parent who has called the p on me already -for no real reason.

I hate Thursdays already and now I need to be up and ready to go earlier than usual.

I can do this.

I hope it goes well. I am sure it will. You will feel better when you have completed this task. I hope you have a good day otherwise. Cut yourself some slack and go home with no schoolwork this afternoon. Then do something that brings you joy. I also hope you sleep well tonight. You need your rest.

You said yes because youíre a nice person who wanted to help. Hopefully youíll get through it quickly, no one will ask stupid questions and you can move on.

Good luck with your brutal Thursday and crazy parent (I too have one of those). Hopefully your Fridays are easier.

with only a few parents "attending" it could easily become a Q & A about school and class issues instead of your presentation. Hope they don't try to sideline your objective. K is such an important year.
Good luck, hope it goes well!

You CAN do this and you are great to support PTA when they really need it as no others are really stepping up at this time.

Sending positive thoughts your way for a "better than expected" Thursday!

I hope all went well for your presentation. You did well to engage parents during a hard time. I agree with being good to yourself and hope you will take advice and not do any school work. Enjoy a glass of wine or whatever your drink of choice is. Have a hike and enjoy your area. I know you did well.

How did your day go? I hope it went well - or at least ends well! 🍷

Everything went fine and I am sitting at home perusing a Chinese food menu... Of course, it is a way to the pick-up place. Is it worth a 25 minute drive there (and back)? Yes, because I am not cooking.

Here is to Friday!
