Feel great! This one now is 20/40. Before it was 20-nothing (could see nada on eye chart). It might improve, as the first one did after a week to 20/20. Hope so. It's wonderful.

My eyes have really changed over the last couple of years. I do much better without glasses for tasks I used to need them. I would love to have Lasik surgery, but don't even know if I'd qualify. Maybe if there is money left over after my house is completely done. In the meantime I am going to go get an eye exam and a cheap pair of glasses, maybe at Walmart, just to get me through.

I love not having to wear glasses. At first I often thought "where are my glasses?" Do wear dark glasses in sun and snow.

So glad to hear all went well. I keep reading these updates to my DH, who is acting like a big chicken and putting off having his done. I'm just going to have to make an appointment on the sly then tell him we're going somewhere else... then just drive him there!

That's great news, Landsoftly! it's a great feeling to know these two surgeries are behind you and things went well. Now you can heal, rest and enjoy Christmas.

Eye surgery

I would love to do this...so tired of contacts or glasses! The newer contacts have been a godsend as I was never able to use them in the past. One eye reading and one eye distance is a bit weird at times though and would just like to have my eyesight back. Did you have a stigmatism? Just curious as to how the surgery works.

I know that I have at least one of those. I am so glad the surgery is so much less difficult than it was when my grandfather had it done. In those days it was a major ordeal. I am glad that your vision can be improved. I thought that was expected, but had no personal experience. Was it painful? Just curious.
