A wedding pic
Old 12-16-2015, 11:22 AM

Clip to ScrapBook #1

Our DD got married on Dec. 5 We don't have any of the 'real' pics yet, and they requested an "unplugged" ceremony (asked everyone to put away their phones and cameras), but there is always one in every crowd who thinks rules don't apply to them. That person (the wife of one of the groomsmen, someone I don't know) sent me this shot. I will share the good ones when the photographer sends me the disc, some were taken on film so it will take longer. Some B/W were taken with my first 35mm camera.
Here's DD and her DH

What a pretty bride! I LOVE her dress....and I love that she asked for the ceremony to be "unplugged." So many times the professional photographer's pictures are messed up because so many people in the crowd are holding up phones or cameras. Good idea! All the best to the happy couple!

She looks so elegant and happy. You must be thrilled, and thank goodness there was one rule breaker so we get to enjoy your DD and her handsome DH.

Congratulations.

I cannot wait to see how the official pics turned out. The photographer is our oldest DD's best friend, I've known her since the day she was born so it was extra special having her there to photograph the wedding (she drove 675 miles to do it), She flew from TN to OR for the birth of the cute guy in the hat in my other post, and she has amazing photo skills.

They are a beautiful couple and the picture is gorgeous! Our setting, on that same day, was similar!

Thanks for the kind words - the wedding was so "Tay", she has always marched to the beat of her own drummer. Nothing was 'traditional' - pretty much everything was homemade, hand done, and fun! She ordered bulk flowers from Costco and we (bridesmaids, friends, her MIL and I) put together the bouquets and table arrangements, groom built a bar to use at the venue. The venue did not have a kitchen so she had a food truck (yum!), no wedding cake but a variety of cakes, pies and dessert items (best cannoli ever!), no dancing, no send off, pretty much just a short sweet ceremony followed by a party! Good food, good drink, good friends - it doesn't get better than that.

Sounds like your DD really knows what she wanted. My DD did the same. Nothing traditional for her either, and it was so much more fun than the wedding I recently attended that had a wedding planner and and took over 2 years to plan. It was impressive, I give them that, but not as fun and comfortable as DD's wedding.

I think so too! I cannot believe my 'baby' got married!! They both have 'baby faces' - she is 26 and he's 29, neither one looks their age.
