3rd Grade Theme for Next Year

Clip to ScrapBook #1

I just found out that I'm moving from 1st to 3rd. The room I'll be moving to is painted a beautiful sky blue. I need ideas on themes for 3rd graders.

I have a jungle theme and have had it for years. I still love it. With a sky blue wall, you could easily do an underwater/fish theme.

If I were to change themes, I'd go with a "sweet" theme. We did that in our hall this year and it was fun! Candy, cupcakes, etc...

I teach third and have done a space/sci-fi theme for the past 2 years. With the sky blue, a beach theme would be fun, too.

I'm not really a theme person (not that I don't like them in other people's rooms!) - I'm more of a color scheme person. I have green walls, and my color scheme is green/blue/navy/pops of yellow. Green and blue are very soothing together. If I were you, I would try to get some greens in whatever theme you choose.

The boho birds stuff from Carson Dellosa would be cute with sky blue, or just birds in general.

If you haven't already take a few minutes to look through www.schoolgirlstyle.com to get some ideas. Her stuff is so cute! I used the navy and lime green nautical theme this year. It's been a hit! She has other sets that would work better with a light blue color. Even if you don't buy her stuff it'll still give you lots of great ideas. 😊
