Is anyone aware of short passages that are leveled using Fountas & Pinnell?

Check out "ReadWorks". You'll find lots of passages there...FREE...my favorite word

Many of the ReadWorks passages are Lexile leveled. A few have F&P levels. You can find charts online that compare Lexile to F&P.

This is on the Teacher's College/Reading and Writing Project website.

http://readingandwritingproject.org/...unning-records

The link will take you the page and there's some text. As you scroll down, you will see different boxes with files. The first box is running records and you will find F and P leveled passages for running records. I did not see comprehension questions though. I'm not sure if they have these or not. I thought I heard someone at work tell me that they have comprehension questions for the passage, but I didn't see any on there.

Actually, I just thought of something else. The HMH Journeys basal has weekly reading passages taken from the leveled readers--three per week, and all of them are leveled via F&P. Maybe a basal that you have access to has leveled passages..

Thanks for sharing about www.readingworks.org! That's a great resource that I've never used. I just love the great community of helpful teachers we have on PT. You are awesome!

I was going to mention the Reading and Writing Project website and see someone else already has. Levels A-K require you to buy the books. Levels L and up have reading passages included.
